Why isn't my bank available when applying for a Zip Account?
Zip partners with Illion using their BankStatements.com.au product to verify information you've provided related to your bank account to make a fast lending decision. While our partner supports the majority of banking solutions, a few smaller institutions may not currently be supported.
In some instances, your bank may not be displayed because it is listed under a different trading name. Please ensure you search for all possible naming conventions. If you are still unsuccessful, where possible, try adding an alternative banking provider.
This is a dynamic process that is not controlled by Zip. After completing the steps above, if your bank is still unavailable, please try again in 48-72 hours.
My bank is listed, why am I having trouble linking my account?
- Try applying through a web browser:
If you are having trouble on your mobile device, you can access the application process through a web browser here. Zip recommends that you use Google Chrome for the best experience.
- Ensure you are inputting the correct login details:
When entering your login details into the Zip banking step, please ensure you use the correct username and password for your corresponding bank account. Please be aware, if you have several failed attempts, our system will automatically lock you out for 15 minutes to protect your personal information.
Tip: If you're unsure what your banking credentials are, open an ‘Incognito’ window and login to your internet banking via your bank’s forgotten password process. If you experience issues, please contact your bank. Once logged in, read and clear any notifications the bank has sent you i.e. policy updates, fraud alerts etc.
