If you are a Zip Pay customer and your are eligible to apply for Zip Plus, you’ll see a banner where you can 'Upgrade to Zip Plus' in our Zip app, here.
Simply follow the on-screen instructions to start your Zip Plus application. You'll receive a notification once your application is complete, letting you know if you've been approved for Zip Plus.
If you are not approved for Zip Plus, no worries - your Zip Pay account will remain active.
What happens to my Zip Pay account if I upgrade to Zip Plus?
An upgrade to Zip Plus means your Zip Pay account will be closed and any owing balance will be transferred to your new Zip Plus account.
If you are entitled to a refund on your Zip Pay account after closure, it will be credited to your new Zip Plus account.
What happens to my repayment schedule when my account is successfully upgraded to Zip Plus?
Your existing Zip Pay repayment schedule will automatically migrate to Zip Plus, this means you will continue to repay with the frequency you previously set up with Zip Pay.
Repayments you’ve made towards your Zip Pay account within the month of the upgrade will also migrate to your Zip Plus account and count towards your new minimum monthly repayment.
Your new minimum monthly repayment amount may change, in line with your new credit limit. If your new Zip Plus minimum monthly repayment is more than your current Zip Pay repayment schedule, we will automatically increase the amount to meet the new requirement.
Note: If you upgrade to Zip Plus, you must re-add your Tap-to-Pay card. For instructions on how to do this, please click here.
