Upgrading from Zip Pay to Zip Plus
If you’re eligible to upgrade to Zip Plus, you’ll see an “Upgrade to Zip Plus” banner in the Zip app.
Follow the on-screen steps to submit your application. We’ll notify you once it’s complete and let you know whether you’ve been approved.
If you're not approved for Zip Plus, don’t worry, your Zip Pay account will stay active.
What happens to my Zip Pay account after upgrading?
When you upgrade to Zip Plus:
- Your Zip Pay account will close.
- Any outstanding balance will be moved to your new Zip Plus account.
- If you’re owed a refund on your closed Zip Pay account, it will be credited to your Zip Plus account.
What happens to my repayments?
- Your existing Zip Pay repayment schedule will automatically carry over to Zip Plus, with the same payment frequency.
- Any repayments made on your Zip Pay account within the month of your upgrade will also transfer and count towards your new minimum monthly repayment.
- Your minimum monthly repayment amount may change based on your new Zip Plus credit limit. If it increases, we’ll automatically adjust your repayment amount to meet the new requirement.
