If you return goods to a retailer and they agree to a refund, the Zip account that you used to make the purchase will be credited with the agreed refund amount.
The refund will be allocated toward any owing balance on the account for unpaid purchases. If your owing balance is less than the refund amount or you don't have an owing balance the refund may place your Zip account in credit.
If this happens you're welcome to leave the additional funds on your Zip account to use for your next purchase, or you can contact us for a refund to your nominated bank account.
When a refund is applied to your Zip account, the refund amount will not include any fees you have been charged while repaying your purchase (e.g. monthly account fees or late payment fees).
Please note: Deliberately placing an account in credit is a breach of contract and may result in your Zip account being locked.
If you think you may be eligible for a refund please contact our Customer Experience team here.
