How do I shop instore?

You can easily use your Zip account instore with our many features designed for a fast and simple checkout!

Our Tap to Pay feature allows you to check out instore everywhere Visa is accepted and is only associated with Zip Pay accounts.

Alternatively, we also have our instore barcode and QR code options available if preferred.

The following instructions will guide you through the process of using your barcode and QR code instore:

Instore Barcode in app:

1. Click the ‘Pay’ icon
2. Select ‘Instore’
3. Tap ‘Generate Barcode’
4. Select which account to use and tap ‘generate barcode’
5. Provide 6 digit code to the merchant
   (Note: the unique code will expire after 5 minutes)

Instore Barcode via our website:

1. Log in to your Zip account and select the Shop Instore option from the menu at the bottom of the screen.
   
2. You'll then receive a 6-digit verification code, input this code, and then share the generated barcode with the cashier to process the payment.
3. Once the cashier completes your order, you'll receive a confirmation. All done!

Scan QR Code in app: 

1. Click the ‘Pay’ icon
2. Select ‘Instore’
3. Tap ‘Scan QR Code
4. Select which account and line up QR code within the frame
   (Note: the unique code will expire after 5 minutes)

Transactions that exceed your available funds can be processed in two separate transactions at the discretion of the partner you are shopping with, please see here for further details.
