A Tap to Pay transaction may decline at checkout due to a number of reasons, these include:
- Insufficient funds – A Tap to Pay transaction may decline if there are insufficient funds to cover the cost of your order.
- Blocked merchants – As responsible lenders, we reserve the right to block transactions with certain merchants or industries and as such, you will not be able to use Tap to Pay with these merchants.
- Suspended account – If your Zip account is suspended, please reach out to our customer experience team for assistance.
- Locked card - Your Tap to Pay transaction will fail if a temporary hold has been placed on the card. This can be switched on and off under the 'Card' section in the Zip app.
